Andrew "Drew" Dennett, M.S.W., ASW, is an Associate Clinical Social Worker (ASW 115630), registered to the California Board of Behavioral Sciences, providing individual, couple, and family psychotherapy under the supervision of Leor Ram, LMFT (115538), LPCC (7354), NCC, CGP at Integrative Psychotherapy Group.
Along with providing clients with skills to thrive day-to-day, Drew will also uncover and explore unconscious thoughts, feelings, and behaviors so clients can be more conscious of what's holding them back from being who they want to be. Past experiences and relationships often influence unconscious dynamics and can have visceral impacts in the present moment. A mixture of directness, playfulness, engagement, and nurturance characterizes Drew's approach to therapy. He believes that relentless curiosity and self-exploration lead to a sense of identity and purpose and an understanding of our place in the world.
Drew works with clients wanting to address relationship issues, self-esteem, anxiety and stress, addiction (e.g., substance use disorders, eating disorders, and other behavioral addictions), depression, childhood trauma, family conflicts, codependency, spirituality, bipolar disorder, anger, grief, and life transitions.
Starting therapy can be challenging and finding the right therapist is a fundamental component to successful outcomes. When appropriate, Drew offers hypnotherapy in addition to traditional psychotherapy.
